Aboriginal Family Legal Services (AFLS), Women’s Legal Service WA (WLSWA), and Ruah Legal Services (RLS) have partnered to deliver state-wide legal services for victims and survivors of sexual violence in Western Australia.
Each partner organisation brings specialist expertise to ensure culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed support, while still giving victims and survivors the freedom to choose where they seek help.
-
AFLS provides services to Aboriginal people who have experienced sexual violence, including childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence within a family and domestic violence context.
-
WLSWA provides services to women who have experienced sexual violence, many of whom are also affected by family and domestic violence.
-
RLS provides services to people who have experienced sexual violence and who identify as male, non-binary, and/or part of the LGBTQIA+ community, offering a Rainbow Tick accredited service.

How we help
We understand how distressing it can be if you have experienced sexual violence. This may be part of other family violence.
We provide a sensitive, safe space that is trauma informed and culturally secure where you can talk about your experience. You can get the right legal advice and support to make the right decisions.
-
We can help with things like
- Have I been a victim of sexual violence?
- What are my legal options?
- How do I tell the police and what will happen?
- What happens in court?
- What do legal terms mean?
- Claims for Criminal Injuries Compensation?
- How can I stay safe?
