Our Vision
Our Vision is to deliver trauma-informed, Aboriginal-led Suicide Prevention sessions across Metro with awareness raising, training, artwork and self-care components to Indigenous community members.
About the Sessions
We envisage this will occur each month excluding the months of January and December - with a maximum of 20 sessions over the two years. Sessions may run as standalone sessions or in blocks of 2-3.
AFLS is seeking passionate local Indigenous artists to be part of a meaningful Suicide Prevention Project funded by the Mental Health Commission.
What we are looking for
We are looking for numerous artists across various artforms with the following
attributes:
- Passion for contributing to community
- Ability to demonstrate, teach and guide participants on
techniques of their artform - Ability to work with diverse group of people
- Available for numerous dates over the project timeline
- Own way of travel
