Strategic Planning Workshop 2026

Strategic Planning Workshop 2026

Aboriginal Family Legal Services recently held its Strategic Planning Workshop in Broome, bringing together AFLS Directors, Regional Managers, staff and Board Members to reflect on organisational achievements, identify future priorities, and strengthen our commitment to Aboriginal individuals, families, and communities across Western Australia.

Facilitated by Mark Bin-Bakar, the workshop provided an important opportunity for meaningful discussion, collaborative planning, and the sharing of diverse perspectives to help shape AFLS’s future direction. Guided by our vision, values, and commitment to culturally safe, community-led service delivery, participants explored opportunities to strengthen partnerships, enhance services, and respond to the evolving needs of the communities we work alongside.

Importantly, all AFLS staff were provided with the opportunity to share their thoughts and feedback on the organisation and were strongly encouraged to engage in the strategic planning process. Their contributions, alongside the knowledge and leadership of Directors, Regional Managers, and Board Members, helped inform the discussions and priorities identified for the years ahead.

AFLS thanks all staff and board members for their valuable input and ongoing commitment to advancing positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander people, families, and communities across Western Australia.
