Aboriginal Family Legal Services (AFLS) is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced and passionate leaders to join our Board as an Independent Director.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation dedicated to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victim-survivors of family violence and sexual assault. As an Independent Director, you will play an important role in strengthening our governance, guiding strategic decision-making, and supporting our mission to create safer, stronger communities.
About the Opportunity
AFLS is seeking one Independent Director to provide professional guidance and strategic leadership in one or more of the following areas:
- Legal expertise, including an understanding of community legal services
- Financial management and corporate governance
- Cultural leadership
- Community development
- Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations
- Board governance and leadership
- Communications and marketing
