Last week AFLS CEO Corina Martin OAM and PLO Gail Dodd attended the National Family Violence Prevention Legal Services Forum in Port Lincoln (Barngarla Country).
This was an inaugural meeting for the formation of our peak body, First Nations Advocates Against Family Violence. Elections were held with members for Governance positions in which Corina was nominated as a director on our peak body.
The members’ conference gave us the chance to discuss the challenges and opportunity facing our sector, share experiences from our regions, and create stronger connections with other organisations delivering critical services across Australia.
“I look for to representing the member services on a national level and working across the states and territories,” Corina said.
